Notes - Chapter 35
Kratos systematically dismantles the source of Meghanad's power. Instead of targeting the man, he focuses on destroying the chariot itself, piece by bloody piece.
- The Process: Kratos finishes his gruesome work on the horses, either by ripping them from their harnesses or simply tearing them apart. The chariot, now without propulsion, begins to fall from the sky. As they plummet, Kratos climbs onto the main platform and begins to methodically unmake it. He uses his bare hands to rip wheels from their axles and tear away the golden filigree. He uses the Leviathan Axe not to strike Meghanad, but to shatter the chariot's foundational structure.
- The Brutality: The horror for Meghanad is in his powerlessness. He is immortal and untouchable, but he's trapped in a disintegrating cage, watching his doom approach with agonizing slowness. He hurls attacks, but Kratos uses the mangled horse carcasses as grotesque shields or simply ignores the blows.
- The Climax: The chariot breaks apart completely in mid-air. Meghanad is thrown clear, his invulnerability vanishing the moment he is separated from the last piece of wreckage. He lands hard, broken and mortal. Kratos lands amidst the debris, a silent, blood-soaked silhouette, before stalking towards Meghanad to deliver the final, savage blow, perhaps using a jagged piece of the ruined chariot to do it.
